Punjab School Education Department (Secondary Education) has decided to conduct offline examination for the recruitment of School Librarian. Giving more details in this regard, the Chairman of Subordinate Services Selection Board (SSSB) Raman Bahl said that the examination will be conducted on July 18 in pen-and-paper mode.

Behl also informed that elaborate arrangements have been made to conduct the examination on 18th July. He said that after checking the educational documents in counseling of successful candidates in the written examination, recommendations for issuing appointment letters to eligible candidates would be sent to the department.
The recruitment process will be purely on merit basis.
Bahl also said that following the policy of fairness, transparency and door-to-door employment scheme of the Punjab government, the board will install modern technical equipment like jammers, biometrics, videography etc. in the examination and the recruitment will be done purely on merit basis.
The validity of CTET has been extended to life time.
Significantly, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) had recently issued a clarification regarding the certificates of candidates for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET). Following the education ministry’s decision to extend the validity of TET scores for life, the board has decided not to issue any new certificates for previous years’ examinations. Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal’ in this regard ‘Nishank’ had announced that the government has decided to extend the validity period of Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) qualification certificate from 7 years to life with retrospective effect from 2011.
