The examination for the engineering service of the Central Public Service Commission was held on Sunday. However, due to torrential rains that lashed Mumbai and its environs overnight, train services were disrupted and candidates could not reach the center due to waterlogging in many areas. This forced the candidates to stay without examination.
The Central Public Service Commission had on Sunday conducted the Indian Engineering Service examination. In this, examinations were also conducted at some centers in Mumbai. However, rains lashed Mumbai overnight on Saturday. This caused waterlogging in many areas and also disrupted railways and other public transport. This prevented many students from reaching the exam. The students are demanding that the exam be held again so that it does not harm them. In this regard, Pradip Sawant, Mahadev Jagtap and Rajan Kolambaker of Yuvasena have written a letter to Shiv Sena Rajya Sabha member Anil Desai and demanded to follow up with the Central Government. They are also trying to contact the Central Public Service Commission. Students have also started expressing their views on social media.
